Longwave Music Ltd was established in 2018 as a record label to foster and support the diverse music scene in Cork. We now boast an extensive catalogue of more than 1000 tracks from more than 20 countries. The label brings together the services required to pre-clear music, administer licenses, while collecting and distributing royalties coming from film, TV, gaming and advertising.

In 2019, we began to work with some of the best artists in the region and after almost a year of co-ordination, mixing and vinyl pressing, the label released a compilation album of a selection of artists on the roster in May 2020.

That same year when Covid 19 disrupted the music industry, we decided to launch and internet radio station called Longwave Music Radio (LMR) to broadcast their music due to the absence of live venues for performances.

The process of working with artists and industry professionals since 2018, has allowed us to understand their needs and wants. Our experience and has also insured a consistent flow of high quality tracks from a diverse range of independent artists from around the world.

Independence

We understand that artists and composers want the freedom and independence to produce the music they want. By working with independent artists, we give them another source of income and we can also guarantee that their music can be ‘pre-cleared’ ahead of any multi-media projects.

Simplicity

At Longwave Music, we want to make it as easy as possible for musicians and music professionals to go about their business. We make it easy both for artists to submit their music and also for Music Supervisors to access and filter our music with our state-of-the art technology.

Openness

We strive to be open and transparent to both the artist/composer and the music supervisor in the sync-licensing process. For the artist we operate on a ‘No Win No Fee’ basis with constant communication about potential sync opportunities. For music supervisors we keep an open dialogue regarding key requested information and clearance status etc.
